$1.16 billion in sales for “MEHAS 2025” and 14 winners honored for excellence, innovation, and sustainability

Kuala Lumpur The Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) Awards 2025 concluded with a celebration of excellence, innovation, andsustainability, honouring 14 trailblazing winners from across Malaysia’s dynamic halal industry.

 

The 12th edition of the MIHAS Awards was held on 20 September 2025 at the Malaysia InternationalTrade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, in conjunction with MIHAS 2025, which ran from 17 to 20 September 2025.

 

The MIHAS Awards 2025, organised by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation

(MATRADE), is a prestigious recognition for businesses driving the global halal economy throughinnovation, strong export performance, and a commitment to ESG principles.

 

MATRADE Chairman YB Dato’ Seri ReezalMerican Naina Merican said, “The MIHAS Awardsunderscore Malaysia’s commitment to positioning the Halal Malaysia brand on the global stage. TheAwards celebrate visionary enterprises that have set new standards of excellence in halal trade. By

The awards feature two main categories:

MIHAS Products and Services Excellence Award, which honours strong export performance,product/service quality, digitalisation, brand strength, and CSR impact. Under this category, there is also Emerging Star Award, a newly introduced in 2025, highlighting promising newcomers

with strong export potential and transformative impact in the halal industry and

MIHAS Products and Services Innovation & Sustainability Award, which recognises businesses that innovatively embed ESG values and the UN Sustainable Development Goals into their operations.

2025 MIHAS Award Winners:

Excellence Awards:

Products Excellence Award: recognised for halal product quality, innovation, and export growth

Services Excellence Award: acknowledged for exceptional contributions in halal services,

including logistics, e-commerce, and support industries

i. STG Shipping (M) Sdn Bhd; and

ii. Serunai Commerce Sdn Bhd.

Emerging Star Award: recognised as rising leaders with strong export potential and driving

positive impact in the halal landscape

i. Product: Industri Makanan Jati Sdn Bhd;

ii. Service: Adabi Consumer Industries Sdn Bhd; and

iii. Service: GFB Food Sdn Bhd.

Innovation & Sustainability Awards:

Products Innovation & Sustainability Award:

i. ADA Biotech Sdn Bhd;

ii. Culvita;

iii. Poweroot Manufacturing Sdn Bhd; and

Services Innovation & Sustainability Award:

The MIHAS Awards position winners on the global stage, enhancing visibility, credibility, and access to strategic trade networks. The recognition strengthens brand reputation, affirms commitment to ESG and sustainability, and drives continuous growth, innovation, and leadership in the halal industry.

All winners were selected by an independent panel comprising experts from industry and seniorrepresentatives of key government agencies. Entries were evaluated against rigorous criteria coveringquality, innovation, sustainability, export growth, market expansion, and halal compliance.

 

By recognising excellence, innovation and sustainability across the halal ecosystem, the MIHASAwards reinforce Malaysia’s commitment topositioning the halal economy as a key driver of inclusive economic growth, global trade leadership, and ethical business practices aligning with the values of a responsible and future-ready marketplace.

 

Past winners include industry leaders such as Adabi, for halal-certified pet food, and AFM Fulfilment, for e-commerce solutions, reflecting the diversity, creativity and global competitiveness of Malaysia’s halal sector.
