The World Peace Board conveys its profound appreciation to Captain Smit Machchhar for his courage, professionalism and unwavering commitment to the preservation of human life. We equally recognise HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Crown Prince of Dubai, for honouring Captain Machchhar and for reaffirming the importance of courage, responsibility and humanity in public life. At a time when the world faces profound challenges, such moments carry a significance beyond the individuals involved. They remind us that, irrespective of nationality, faith, culture or circumstance, the protection of human life and dignity is a shared responsibility of humanity. The World Peace Board believes that peace is not merely the absence of conflict. It is a commitment to human dignity, mutual respect, dialogue, cooperation and the protection of life. May this recognition serve as a reminder to the international community: Peace is the path. Humanity is our common ground. And cooperation is the way forward. The World Peace Board salutes all those who, through courage and service, contribute to a more peaceful and united world.
