On May 8, 2022, an Azerbaijani community meeting was held in Utrecht, the Netherlands. This meeting was organized by the board of the Together Strong Foundation and active members of the Azerbaijani Community in the Utrecht province.
Co-chair of Together Strong Foundation, Ilkana Goja van den Berg, provided information about the V Congress of World Azerbaijanis held in Shusha on April 22-23, 2022. At the same time, the speech of Mr. President Ilham Aliyev at the V Congress of World Azerbaijanis and the issues raised by Mr. President during his speech were brought to the attention of the community members. Different views and ideas were exchanged on the steps to be taken in the future to preserve the Azerbaijani language and culture abroad. The importance of passing national values and tradition on to future generations was especially emphasized.
Ilkana Goja van den Berg, co-chair of the Together Strong Foundation, has shared her experience and impression of her visit to the liberated territories of Karabakh, especially to Shusha and Agdam in April 2022. Furthrmore, information on landmine and its danger in Karabakh regions, especially in Agdam was shared to the community members.
At the same time, discussions were held about the current community issue in The Netherlands and region Utrecht.
Based on the desires of the community members future plans have brainstormed.
A work plan was developed taking desires of the community members into the consideration.
