Ashgabat, Turkmenistan — The 30th International Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition (OGT-2025) officially kicked off today at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Turkmen capital, Ashgabat. The event brings together government representatives, heads of relevant departments, ambassadors, international organizations, and leading oil and gas companies. The opening ceremony featured traditional artistic performances and patriotic songs that reflected Turkmenistan’s rich heritage and national pride.
The exhibition provides a unique platform for international companies in the fields of oil, gas, metallurgy, chemistry, mechanical engineering, and energy — allowing participants not only to present their latest products but also to expand partnerships that contribute to integrating Turkmenistan’s fuel and energy sector into the global energy network.
Covers all aspects
The exhibition covers all aspects of the oil industry — from exploration and production to the transportation and storage of hydrocarbons. Particular attention is devoted to offshore projects in the Caspian Sea and the development of renewable energy sources.
Among the key participants are Turkmenistan’s leading state enterprises, dozens of private companies active in the national energy complex, and Arab companies from the United Arab Emirates — represented by ADNOC and Dragon Oil — as well as others from Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

The first sessions of the participants discussed Shaping the Future of Global Energy in the International Year of Peace and Trust – Innovation, Energy Transition, and Strategic Cooperation as the Global Energy Landscape Undergoes a Profound Transformation, This High-Level Plenary Session Explored Emerging Trends Reshaping the Sector, Including Accelerating Decarbonization and Technological Innovation, as Well as the Rise of Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources.
The Session also Highlighted the Country’s Growing Significance in Global Energy Markets and Explore Strategic Opportunities to Modernize Infrastructure, Expand Export Routes, And Foster International Partnerships. This Dialogue, held in the International Year of Peace and Trust, Focused on How Turkmenistan Can Harness Its Vast Energy Potential to Drive Sustainable Development, Attract Investment, And Strengthen Its Position as a Key Player in the Evolving Global Energy Landscape.
Evolving role of Turkmenistan natural gas
The second part of sessions talked about evolving role of Turkmenistan natural gas – expanding exports, enabling transition as the global energy sector accelerates its transition to cleaner fuels, natural gas continues to play a pivotal role as a reliable and lower-emission energy source.
With one of the world’s largest reserves, Turkmenistan is uniquely this session explored Turkmenistan’s strategic vision for expanding gas exports — including progress on the tape pipeline and other key infrastructure projects — and the country’s efforts to diversify export routes toward south Asia, the middle east, and Europe. discussions focused on how increased natural gas flows can support both national economic development and the decarbonization goals of regional partners. In the first-ever fireside chat at OGT, the chief executives of leading international oil companies with active operations in Turkmenistan shared insights on navigating one of the world’s most strategically positioned energy markets and in an informal yet focused setting, industry leaders discussed their experiences in project execution, operational excellence, and long-term partnerships with national companies. The conversation explored opportunities for innovation, sustainable growth, and the development of local personnel, as well as the unique role Turkmenistan plays in meeting global energy demand during the transition to a low-carbon future.
