Sachan, a BSc. in Accounting and Finance graduate of Lahore University of Management Sciences, secured a 100% merit scholarship for three consecutive years, became the first generation of the family to achieve higher education, was the only Hindu from the batch of 2021 in business school, and secured executive positions in Dramatics and Hum-Aahang student-run clubs at LUMS. However, it was not like that from the beginning.

Sachan told Naghitv.com, “At school age, I had never imagined a life beyond the boundaries of my hometown in rural Sindh. It was due to my father’s big ambitions for us that my siblings and I moved to metro cities for better academic and social opportunities.”

“Before that, I outrightly avoided engaging in any conversation related to diversity and inclusivity in society. However, now I use social media to talk about co-existence and creating safe spaces. I am passionate about dancing and use that to express my struggles in life. To take it to the next level, a platform like Global Peace Summit was exactly what I was looking for.”

Sachan said, “Tolerance! Peace! Co-existence! All of these words should not remain mere words of a dictionary or social concepts. We as a nation need peace ambassadors who can START an open dialogue.”

“This summit was a true example of a step in the right direction for global peace. The concept of creating a peace chain by bringing together young leaders from around the globe was brought into reality at the Global Peace Summit in Baku 2022 edition,” he said.

The three days summit involved activities to promote dialogue for global peace and inclusivity. All of participants, even being from not just different cities and cultures but also from different countries, connected instantly with belief and passion for social peace.
