The State Customs Committee clarified the information disseminated in a number of media outlets about the collection of road taxes and other customs payments from Iranian cars on the Gorus-Gafan road, Press and Public Affairs Department of the State Customs Committee told APA.
According to Article 210 of Tax Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, vehicles of foreign countries entering the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic and leaving the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic are subject to road tax.
“According to the Code, transportation vehicles are involved in road tax, in accordance with the Article 24 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On state fee”, involved in state fee for permission regulating international automobile transport.
Implementation of these Articles, noted in the legislation in this direction, along the territory of the whole country is provided by the customs bodies currently,” noted.
